Dean Forbes

Non Executive Director

An aspiring professional footballer who quickly became an internationally renowned business leader is the best way of describing Dean Forbes's career to date. Dean started off his career in earnest as a junior at Crystal Palace where he played throughout their youth system but was ultimately unable to earn the level of contract he required. He was then offered an opportunity to join Northampton Town, which he took, and went on to play his football there becoming captain of the reserve team in the process. Unable to force his way into the first team, and without a worthwhile contract offer on the table, Dean took the inevitable step and commenced his career in non league football.

Over a ten year period, Dean went on to play extensively in the Ryman League circles and became a well known and popular figure while making hundreds of appearances. Over the course of his career he has played for Gravesend and Northfleet, Tooting and Mitcham, Molesley, Beckenham Town, Bromley and Redhill, captaining Bromley and also managing Redhill. At his peak, he also went on to gain two international caps for Guyana, scoring a goal in the process.

In his professional capacity built alongside his non league career, Dean is an accomplished executive, a serial technology innovator and an architect of change. He stands as CEO and member of the board of CoreHR, a cloud-based HR and Payroll solutions provider, where he is responsible for continuing CoreHR’s exciting strategy of growth and market disruption.

Dean was a member of the executive board of Primavera where he led their international operations (across EMEA and APAC) through an exciting period of growth. His energetic leadership approach, commitment to customer value, combined with their market leading product, were keys driver in achieving their incredible success.

Following a successful acquisition of Primavera by Oracle, Dean was appointed Group Vice President for project and portfolio management solutions for Oracle globally, making him one of Oracles youngest group presidents, whilst also participating on Oracles UK Executive committee.

In 2010 Dean became CEO of KDS, a global provider of integrated travel booking and expense technology. During his time with KDS, the company tripled their revenue, increased profitability, and were recognised for their technology innovation. KDS was acquired by American Express in 2016.

Over the years Dean has chalked significant achievements including his ranking in the World’s Top 25 most influential people in travel technology, Enigma' top 30 under 30 and the Sunday times 'one to watch' entrepreneur. His path to success has been inspired by “Working with people who are willing to take on, and succeed at, huge challenges simply to better themselves”.

An active advocate of community development, Dean currently serves as chairman and founder of Project 10, a non-profit initiative that aims to inspire change, hope and growth by helping a diverse group of young people to develop their skills, to gain entry to the workplace, as well as being a member of the board of directors for GTTP.
